While I have done some blogs in the past, I have focused on food, which eventually became my company CurEat.  And on a three line post blog that was modeled after a book I had read, but who knew that Twitter had the same idea.  Oh well.

This blog is strictly direct musing from me but with a purpose of issues and things that I care about, would like others to care about, or just to stay informed about.  It is meant as an outlet, dialogue and focal point for the activities, projects and passions that excitement me and I am involved with.

Hopefully over time it will serve as a chronology of these topics.

My hope is that some go away (because they are solved) and others take their place, as there are no shortage of issues to address.

For now my focus (besides of course CurEat) is on school lunch initiative, local food promotion, companies I have invested in and mentor/support, affordable/workforce housing, and Raleigh as a thriving city.

I am going to try and write daily or close to daily.  I hope you have found this blog and enjoy it.

Waiting

In some many ways I have felt I have been waiting for a few months now.  Both in business, in the city progress, in non-profit work.  I am not sure of others but this is the least desirable position for me to be in.  I am a person of action or closure.  Dragging on waiting for others to confirm, assist, support, and take action are not my strong suits.  I am trying to use this time to think, to plan, to be able to hit the ground running, but there is only so much you can do. Hurricane Help - Small Business Impact

I am excited to be part of the Gone Fishing fundraiser this Saturday (10/27) from 12-3 at Junction West ( https://www.facebook.com/events/917844365072874/ ).  Come out and taste my famous (okay famous with people that know me) Ceviche.  It was crafted over time from my Cuban friends, traveling and tasting in Mexico and the Caribbean and just simply what I like.  The impact of Florence on the coastal communities is well documented and support is needed.  Many of the top area chefs will there and we expect a great time! Can you Chart a course to Success

I was recently driving to Charleston, SC and as I am inclined to do on these drives, I que up a few podcasts.  Podcasts were made for long drives as much as audio books are. The typical 40 minute to an hour format works perfectly to get to the heart of a matter while keeping me engaged while the miles pass. I typically listen to culinary, political, or social podcats with an occasional true crime thrown in.  My favorite is Malcolm Gladwell's Revisionist History  I also like How I Built This.   There are other more local ones that I also enjoy like NC F&B  and of course I like Heirtage Radio's Tech Bites , since I was on it!
